Photoshop CS6 - Twitter 2014 Template - click to see larger
Happy Friday!I just spent a couple hours setting up my new Twitter profile. They are rolling out a new design. I had downloaded what I thought was a good free template - it was the wrong scale. THEN it took me awhile to figure out a decent size to work with and how it will crop. Twitter recommends 1,500px wide by 500px tall, 72 dpi for the banner. I made my template 520px tall and indicated where the safe area is depending on how the twitter page is scaled. —If you found a good template, please let me know! :-) and thanks.
A few things to keep in mind if you want to download my photoshop CS6 template to use:
• The profile pic will move as the page is re-sized! I put in a placement for the profile pic, but I would use a larger square image than what is in my template. FYI I did use the size in my template for my profile pic and it looks OK.
• Turn off the profile pic layer before you save the file for the banner.
• Take a look at my twitter page so you can see how the template crops. Sometimes the black line and bottom black bar crop just right, and most of the time it doesn't. https://twitter.com/AnnieDoodlebugz
• It isn't perfect :-) but better than what I found today - you are welcome to use it, download it for free here: https://sites.google.com/site/anniesdoodlebugz/home/downloads?pli=1
Did you notice that twitter will now let you pin a tweet to the top of your page? That way if you have a big announcement - everyone who visits the page will see it.
Hope this helps some. Looking forward to hearing what you have done.
Make my day! Follow this blog - thanks!
